{"id":2427,"date":"2019-05-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/resomation.lbbcgroup.co.uk\/news\/innovation-and-environment-are-focus-points-at-cemeteries-and-crematoria-seminar\/"},"modified":"2019-10-08T09:37:16","modified_gmt":"2019-10-08T08:37:16","slug":"innovation-and-environment-are-focus-points-at-cemeteries-and-crematoria-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resomation.com\/news\/innovation-and-environment-are-focus-points-at-cemeteries-and-crematoria-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovation and environment are focus points at Cemeteries and Crematoria seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1842 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/resomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/APSE-2019-stand-landscape.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"273\" \/>Resomation Managing Director, Howard Pickard, addressed the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) Cemeteries and Crematoria seminar on Thursday 11<sup>th <\/sup>April in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s APSE seminar focused on the ever-evolving cultural landscape in bereavement services, highlighting industry best practice and innovation as well as the environmental challenges faced in the funeral industry.<\/p>\n<p>Howard spoke about the potential for water cremation to help address environmental concerns as an end-of-life option alongside local authority and industry representatives who spoke on a wide range of issues.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the event, Howard said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe APSE Cemeteries and Crematoria Seminar is a great opportunity to discuss innovation and new ways of thinking in the funeral industry. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I was pleased to bring Resomation into this discussion and its potential as a future option for local authorities in their bereavement services\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1843\" src=\"https:\/\/resomation.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/APSE-Howard-receiving-member-certificate-landscape-360x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"300\" \/>On the environment and the funeral industry, Howard said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The world\u2019s population has quadrupled over last century and the funeral industry has a key role to play in helping to deliver a range of end-of-life options which can fulfil demand and help to reduce local authorities carbon footprint.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Attitudes are changing on consideration of the environment and choosing greener alternatives.
