Jeremy Balfour MSP visits Kindly Earth Herrington
Resomation and Kindly Earth were deeply honoured to welcome Jeremy Balfour, MSP for Lothian, to our Kindly Earth Herrington facility recently. His visit provided a fantastic opportunity to highlight the innovative work we’re doing in the field of sustainable aftercare and to engage in a meaningful conversation about the future of Alkaline Hydrolysis in Scotland.
During the visit, we were proud to showcase our Resomation technology – a groundbreaking alternative to traditional cremation that offers a gentler, more environmentally conscious choice. As awareness of the environmental impact of end-of-life options grows, Resomation presents a compelling solution that aligns with both ecological values and evolving societal needs.
Mr. Balfour took a keen interest in the science behind the process, as well as the broader ethical and environmental benefits it offers. We discussed how legislation, public awareness, and community engagement will all play vital roles in bringing Alkaline Hydrolysis to Scotland as a fully available and accepted option.
We are grateful to Mr. Balfour for taking the time to visit us and for his thoughtful insights and support. His engagement reflects a growing recognition of the need for sustainable innovation in all areas of life – including end-of-life care.
We look forward to continuing these important conversations and working with policymakers, communities, and industry partners to help shape a more sustainable future.
