Kindly Earth Discusses Resomation at Scotland’s Joint Seminar

Earlier this month, Helen Chandler of Kindly Earth had the privilege of attending the first Scotland Joint Seminar, hosted by the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities (FBCA) and The Cremation Society in Edinburgh. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, funeral professionals, and innovators to discuss the evolving landscape of funerals  in Scotland.

Helen was invited to speak about Resomation, offering valuable insight at a particularly significant moment. Scotland is preparing to publish its draft regulations for alkaline hydrolysis, a milestone that could shape how the country approaches sustainable choices in funerary services. Her session helped attendees better understand the technology, its environmental benefits, and how it complements the needs of modern families seeking greener, more gentle alternatives.

The conversation was well received, timely, and forward-looking, contributing meaningfully to Scotland’s ongoing commitment to a progressive, responsible funeral sector. As legislation continues to develop, the seminar provided an important platform for open dialogue, shared expertise, and thoughtful planning for the future.

Kindly Earth is proud to support these conversations and to be part of the future of funerals in Scotland.
